In labs around the world, Organomation evaporators have been quietly doing their job for decades, concentrating samples, removing solvents, and helping researchers get results they can trust. Over the years, we've heard countless stories of Organomation evaporators outlasting multiple lab managers, traveling with teams from one location to another, and continuing to serve labs reliable week after week.
This September, we want to shine a spotlight on those trusted workhorses with our Oldest Organomation Evaporator Contest.
We're looking for the oldest Organomation evaporator still in operation, whether it's a faithful N-EVAP from the 1980's or a MICROVAP that's been running since the early 2000's. If it's still a part of your workflow - even if it's been repaired, refurbished, or lovingly patched up - we want to see it.
Organomation's first nitrogen evaporator was built in 1959, and from the very beginning, our philosophy has been simple: make durable, reliable tools that scientists can count on for years, or even decades. This contest is our way of celebrating the ingenuity of labs who keep their equipment running and the craftsmanship that makes that possible.
From September 1st to September 30th 2025, we'll be accepting contest entries on the main contest page. To participate, fill out our quick and easy entry form including:
- A photo of your Organomation evaporator
- Your unit's serial number
- And a brief description of how the unit is still being used in your lab
On October 6th 2025, we'll announce the winners on our Organomation LinkedIn page (so make sure you're following!). We'll be awarding first, second, and third place with prizes as follows:
- First Place: $5,000 USD in store credit
- Second Place: $2,000 USD in store credit
- Third Place: A free preventative maintenance kit for your specific instrument model
Store credit can be used towards a new evaporator, spare parts, a nitrogen generator, or any other Organomation products.
Visit the Oldest Evaporator Contest 2025 page for the complete rules and prize details, You can also sign up for an email reminder so you'll know exactly when submissions open.
We can't wait to see your entries and hear the stories of how our evaporators have been a part of your lab's journey. Whether it's been a reliable partner in your research for 10 years or 40, this is your chance to show it off - and maybe win a prize while you're at it.
