Labo Services: Organomation's Trusted Partner for Nitrogen Evaporation and Sample Preparation in France

October 27, 2026 / Organomation

Organomation is proud to spotlight our partnership with Labo Services, a Montpellier-based distributor bringing more than 25 years of laboratory equipment expertise to research, industrial, and academic labs across France. This collaboration pairs Organomation's six decades of experience engineering nitrogen blowdown evaporation systems with Labo Services' deep, full-line knowledge of laboratory instrumentation — giving French chemists a local, responsive source for the sample preparation equipment that sits upstream of GC-MS, LC-MS, and HPLC analysis.

A Trusted Name in French Laboratory Equipment

Labo Services specializes in the consulting, sale, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of laboratory equipment’s. Their technico-commercial and service teams work directly with public and private research laboratories, industrial labs in the pharmaceutical, food, and wine-producing sectors and contract analysis labs. The company’s approach is based on technical expertise, responsiveness, proximity, and long-term customer relationships.

Nitrogen Evaporation for Chromatography and LC-MS Workflows

Among the equipment lines Labo Services carries is Organomation's N-EVAP nitrogen evaporator series — instrumentation purpose-built for the sample concentration step that precedes chromatographic and mass spectrometric analysis. The N-EVAP's circular rotary design gives technicians front-facing access to every sample position, while individually milled brass needle valves allow precise, position-by-position control of nitrogen flow. For laboratories preparing extracts ahead of GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, or HPLC analysis, that level of control directly supports reproducible, defensible results — a non-negotiable requirement in environmental testing, food and beverage analysis, and pharmaceutical quality control.

Sample preparation by nitrogen blowdown is a particularly important workflow step for southern France's strong agri-food and viticulture testing sector, where labs routinely concentrate extracts for pesticide residue, contaminant, and compositional analysis ahead of chromatographic detection. Organomation's evaporators are engineered specifically for this gentle, controlled concentration step, helping labs avoid analyte loss or degradation before samples ever reach the instrument.

A Broader Portfolio for Complete Sample Preparation

Beyond the N-EVAP, Organomation's evaporation and sample preparation portfolio includes the high-capacity MULTIVAP and high-throughput MICROVAP systems, along with NITRO-GEN nitrogen generators that produce laboratory-grade nitrogen on demand from compressed air. For labs evaluating how to pair reliable nitrogen supply with their evaporation equipment — rather than depending on delivered cylinder gas — this combination addresses both the technical and operational sides of nitrogen blowdown, improving uptime while reducing the safety and logistics burden of handling pressurized cylinders. We encourage labs working with Labo Services to ask about the full range of Organomation systems available through the partnership to find the right configuration for their throughput and sample type.

Customer-Focused Technical Support, Close to Home

What distinguishes Labo Services within Organomation's global distribution network is the depth of their hands-on service model. Their technical team doesn't just sell equipment — they consult on laboratory layout, manage installation and commissioning, and provide ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance, all from a team based in Montpellier rather than a distant call center. For labs investing in nitrogen evaporation systems that will run daily for years, that proximity matters: faster response times, technicians who already know the equipment, and a single point of contact for the lifetime of the instrument.

This is the same philosophy Organomation brings to its own customer relationships, and it's a major reason the two companies make natural partners. Both organizations prioritize getting laboratories the right equipment for their specific application — not a one-size-fits-all solution — and both back that equipment with responsive, knowledgeable support long after installation.

Advancing Analytical Chemistry in France

As this partnership continues, Organomation and Labo Services look forward to supporting France's analytical chemistry community with dependable, well-supported sample preparation solutions. Whether you're a contract lab preparing extracts for regulatory submission, a university department running routine LC-MS/MS analyses, or an industrial QC lab tracking compositional standards, the combination of Organomation's evaporation technology and Labo Services' regional expertise offers a complete, locally supported path from sample to instrument.

A Customer Perspective: The HYDROSCIENCES Team in Montpellier

The practical benefits of the N-EVAP are particularly well illustrated by the experience of the HYDROSCIENCES ContEm team at the University of Montpellier, which uses the N-EVAP for the preparation of water samples for ultra-trace analysis of PMT micropollutants:

“One of the main advantages of this evaporator is that the positions can be adjusted individually. This allows sufficient time to be given to each sample and the evaporation process to be adapted according to its progress. In practice, I used to work in batches of 10: one batch could be evaporated normally, while the second was monitored much more closely until the final microdroplet remained.

It is also much easier to visualize the liquid level in the tubes, which is essential during the final stages of evaporation. However, as with other evaporators, liquid can remain on the outer wall of the test tubes, which reduces visibility and makes it more difficult to detect the last drops.

It also allows better management of nitrogen consumption, since each position can be adjusted individually and nitrogen use can be adapted to the specific requirements of each sample”.
