Organomation's 2023 Year in Review

Written by Sarah Johnson | February 01, 2024

The start of a new year is always a very reflective time for companies as they look back at the previous 365 days and recognize all the amazing things that were accomplished. Founded in 1959, Organomation is now heading into it's 65th year as a leader in the sample preparation market. 2023 marks one of Organomation's most productive years, full of achievements, awards, nominations, and overall company progress.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible partners, distributors, or customers representing us all over the world. Let's take a look at some of our favorite accomplishments in our 2023 year in review.

♦  Attended 14 Trade Shows Across 12 Cities and 3 Countries

In these ever-changing markets, keeping up with the latest trends, products and companies is more important than ever before. We were lucky enough to be able to attend 14 different trade shows of various focuses across 12 cities and 3 countries. Trade shows allowed us to meet many of our current customers and partners in person for the first time while also making hundreds of new, valuable connections.

♦  Visited Over 13 Customer Labs Across 13 Different Cities

While traveling to trade shows, we are always looking to visit our customers within the area to look at their instrument setup and learn more about their work. Our site visits this year included academic labs, product testing labs, environmental labs, medical labs, and more. Getting to meet customers in their space and learn the ins and outs of their research is one of our team's favorite projects. Check out all of our case studies to learn more about the laboratories we visited and how our equipment is being used.

♦  Earned 2 Prestigious Awards

2023 was a strong year for nominations and awards, both for Organomation as a company and for individual employees.

In May, Marketing Specialist Sarah Johnson was nominated for the Generation Z Trailblazer award presented by B2B Innovator Awards for bringing innovative ideas to the company's marketing department. Likewise, General Manager David Oliva was nominated for their SMB Maestro award for continually leading his team to success. In August, David was honored to be named the winner of this award, earning him a spot in the B2B Innovator Class of 2023.

September was also an exciting month for award nominations. Sarah Johnson was nominated and listed as a finalist for SAMPS Young Person of the Year award, celebrating those under 30 who have made considerable contributions to their team's success. David Oliva was nominated and listed as a finalist for SAMPS Manager of the Year, recognizing a great leader who supports and brings the best out of their team members.

In October, Organomation was named the SAMPS 2023 Company of the Year, an award which received over 100 applications. This award was in recognition of an outstanding company that has provided innovative solutions to the life sciences and applied research industries. Our strong industry passion, excellent customer service, and inclusive, positive workplace all contributed to this accomplishment.

♦  Released 2 New Products

We are always looking to develop new products that meet the needs of our customers, whether that means creating a new custom solution or collaborating with another expert in the space. This year, we've done both!

In February, we introduced our Dual Microplate Evaporation system. Thanks to our efficient engineering and production teams, we were able to develop this product for a customer looking for a digitally controlled microplate evaporator, and very quickly added it to our standard instrument offerings. In May, we also introduced the NITRO-GEN+ nitrogen generator to pair with our blowdown evaporators. This affordable nitrogen generation solution is perfect for both your sample preparation and LC-MS needs.

♦  Formed 2 New Partnerships

2023 also brought along a couple new exciting partnerships. In March, we announced our partnership with Pacific Star, a GSA contract holder that is partnered with over 100 manufacturers. In July, we also formalized our collaboration with Orange Science, a reputable distributor of research equipment within the Japanese market. As an international company, partnerships are an invaluable part of our business model, bringing us knowledge and experience in new, unexplored markets.

As we look ahead to 2024, we're excited to move forward with the positive momentum we've gained in 2023. We're proud of our team of valuable employees that have made all of these accomplishments happen, as well as all of our partners and customers who continue to support us. Here's to another successful year!
